Our lovely Victorian Farm set in the village of Llanfairfechan has been lovingly restored by Sam & Alan to provide a picturesque holiday destination for guests to relax and enjoy being within nature.
We pride ourselves on good service, clean facilities and an uncrowded site where guests can wander around the walled garden and enjoy the sounds of the birds, or relax by their tent and take in the site of impressive mountain headland.
Our campsite is a small, family run site for tents and a bunkhouse. We have provided a peaceful haven with the convenience of local shops and pubs just a few minutes stroll away. Our lovely Blue Flag beach is a 10 minute walk from our site, while the Snowdonia Mountain Range is a half an hour walk up through the village.
Centrally located between Bangor and Conwy, our village is a perfect base for all the fantastic activities North Wales has to offer, from Surfing, to Zip Wires, Coasteering to birdwatching. This area really has so much to cater to all tastes!
locality
Llanfairfechan is located just 7 miles west of the historic walled town of Conwy with it’s mighty medieval castle. Our Victorian seaside town sits at the foot of the Carneddau Mountain Range in Snowdonia National Park. Stunning views can be found at the top of Garreg Fawr, a rocky outcrop 400m above sea level. With views reaching as far as the Isle of Man in one direction and the Snowdonia Mountain range in the other, it is a view not to be missed!
The North Wales path and the Snowdonia Way take you right through this beautiful scenery where you can also spot the native, wild Carneddau Ponies and see the druids circles.
In the neighbouring village of Abergwyngregin, the majestic Aber Falls is well worth a visit, perticularly after heavy rain or snowy weather! After a gentle walk to see the falls, you can also pay Aber Falls Distillery a visit and try some local Gin’s and take a tour of the whiskey distillery.
Just a few miles further afield you will find some great adventure activities including Zip World Bethesda and Blaenau, Adventure Parc Snowdonia, Rib ride and many more. If nature is your interest, then Llanfairfechan is home to one of the best bird watching sites in North Wales. Several species of seabirds and waterfowl can be found along it’s beaches, saltmarsh and river throughout the year. The best time to visit is during the Spring and Autumn when birds flock during their migrations.
For cyclists, our campsite is directly by cycle route 5, perfect for a stop on your cycling tour. Mountain biking is popular along the north wales paths above the village centre, taking in the fantastic Carneddau Mountains.
